How it all started
NÉA started with a conversation between two friends, a love for fashion, and a very familiar question: what am I going to wear?
I’ve always loved getting dressed and discovering beautiful, interesting pieces. Somewhere along the way, I became the person my friends, family, and even women I met on social media would turn to when they needed help finding the dress.
I never set out to become a stylist — it simply happened because fashion has always been something I genuinely love.
Then one day, a friend said, “You have such a good eye for dresses. Why don’t you rent them out?”
And the idea stayed with me.

02. And that idea became NÉA.
Not long after that conversation, I found myself searching for a dress for a wedding.
I knew exactly what I wanted, but finding it locally was harder than I expected, and ordering from overseas for one occasion felt excessive.
I ended up designing my own dress, but the whole experience made me realize there was a gap — and an opportunity to make finding beautiful occasionwear a little easier.
I was already spending hours discovering beautiful pieces from South Africa and around the world. Why not bring those finds together in one place and give more women access to them?
That’s when NÉA really started to take shape.
Sometimes you don’t need another dress to keep. You just need the right dress for the moment.
