How did this all start?

NÉA started with a conversation between two friends, a love for fashion and a very familiar question: what am I going to wear?

I’ve always loved getting dressed and discovering beautiful, interesting pieces. Somewhere along the way, I became the person my friends, family and women I met through social media turned to when they needed help finding the dress.

I never set out to become a stylist; it simply happened because fashion has always been something I genuinely love.

Then one day, a friend said, “You have such a good eye for dresses. Why don’t you rent them out?”

And the idea stayed with me.

02. So, why NÉA?

The idea really came to life when I found myself searching for a dress for a wedding and struggling to find exactly what I wanted. The pieces I loved were either too expensive to justify for one wear or only available overseas.

I eventually designed my own dress, and that experience made me realise there was an opportunity to bring beautiful, fashion-forward pieces from South Africa and around the world to women here — without the time, cost and stress that can come with searching for them yourself.

I realised I could combine something I genuinely love — discovering beautiful dresses and styling women — with something I knew so many women could benefit from.

And that became NÉA.

Sometimes you don’t need another dress to keep. You just need the right dress for the moment.
